Frequently Asked Questions

Shop Policies
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of handmade pieces, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If you submit an order, you have agreed to the purchase of the item, its listing description, and its photos. Please read the listings carefully and view all photos before making a purchase. If photos are not available in the case of custom work, the return policy still applies.
How long do made-to-order pieces take to ship?
Production time varies on made to order purchases, however most pieces will be ready to ship between 2-4 weeks. If you are in a rush or need a better idea of when your piece will ship, feel free to reach out via the contact page.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We ship internationally. Ready-to-ship orders ship within 2-5 business days of purchase, and made-to-order pieces ship within 2-4 weeks. You will be notified via email with tracking information once your package ships. All pieces are shipped via Fedex, UPS, or USPS and should arrive within 2 weeks in the U.S. and 2-6 weeks internationally, depending on destination. Please understand that the occasional delay is to be expected. We cannot ship Fedex or UPS to PO Boxes.
Do you resize rings?
If you are ordering a custom ring, please be sure of your ring size. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, we do not resize rings.
I’m unsure of my ring size. What do I do?
All of our rings fit true to North American sizing. We recommend having yourself sized in person at a local jewelry store (this comes at no cost), or ordering an affordable ring sizer (found under the ‘misc’ tab of the website). We do not recommend trying to size your finger from a string or paper from an online template. Keep in mind we do offer quarter sizes and sizes not listed on the product pages; please reach out if you do not see your size listed.
Do you accept custom orders?
On a case by case basis, yes.
What are your custom order policies?
Feel free to send an email through the contact page regarding your custom piece and we will work out a design and price. Full payment is then due upon agreement of design prior to creation of the piece. Please ask any questions you may have prior to payment, as we do not accept cancellations or refunds due to the specialization for the customer and nature of custom work. Your payment represents your desire to obtain the custom piece and your trust in the artist, as well as ensuring its shipment to you.
How do I clean & care for my jewelry?
When in doubt, remove jewelry before showering, working out, swimming, gardening, or any activity in which it could be damaged or lost, and do not expose it to lotions, harsh soaps, or perfumes. To clean your gemstone jewelry, it’s best to soak overnight in filtered water with a few drops of dish soap. Remove after soaking and rinse with warm water. Do NOT use this method for opals, pearls, or soft stones such as turquoise, as they can become damaged. Cleaning and polishing of your jewelry purchased from The Garrison Jewelry is free of charge, excluding shipping costs. Reach out via the contact page for more information. Sterling Silver will oxidize (become darker) over time and with exposure to heat, moisture, and sometimes even your own skin (depending on its PH level). This is a natural process and can be reversed by a quick polish with a jewelers polishing cloth.
What if my piece needs to be repaired?
We stand behind our work and want you to feel good about your purchases. We will assess repairs on an individual basis and will do our best to repair your jewelry purchased from The Garrison Jewelry. Unless damage is due to defects in craftsmanship, repairs are subject to a fee. Defects do not include normal wear and tear or accidents, and the buyer is responsible for all repair costs including shipping. Please do not return your jewelry without a repair authorization. Reach out via the contact page for more info.
Has The Garrison Jewelry been ethically sourced and made?
Every gemstone used in our jewelry has been ethically sourced through trusted partners and suppliers. All diamonds conform to Kimberley Process requirements, and when possible we use recycled gold.
Do you offer any warranties?
While we pride ourselves on using high-quality materials and hold ourselves to the highest level of craftsmanship, we do not make warranties of any kind.
Do you have a showroom for appointments or viewing jewelry?
While we love seeing you, our studio is not open to the public.
