Rachel Garrison is an artist and goldsmith working in precious metals and gemstones in her studio in Los Angeles. She’s enamored by art and ornamentation that balances both charming and maximalist themes while exuding refined, sophisticated luxury.
She grew up in the mountains of northern Arizona where she met a pivotal instructor who introduced her to the world of jewelry and adornment, and later moved to San Francisco to attain a BFA in painting and sculpture from SFAI. After a professional career working in advertising she enthusiastically returned to her true passion of creating fine jewelry.
For the last several years she has focused her practice on the study of jewelry history, traditional fabrication methods, and designing playfully evocative work that sparks joy and intrigue.
